Hey Excel Clashers! We have been busy building some of the most highly requested layout updates and spreadsheet engine capabilities. Today, we are super excited to share a major update to your interactive spreadsheet sandbox and the multiplayer battle rooms. This release has been designed to make your overall learning flow much faster and more intuitive, while ensuring the UI elements are cleaner and perfectly responsive.

Whether you are searching for a specific function guide or challenging a peer to a real-time formula duel, these new changes make your learning journey feel fast, seamless, and identical to a native desktop spreadsheet app. Here is a breakdown of the key features included in this release:

1. Drag-to-Autofill Handle (Fill Range Series)

You can now quickly extend values, sequences, and formulas across rows and columns! Selecting any cell reveals the bottom-right fill handle. Simply click and drag the handle across target cells to automatically populate formulas and values across the selected range with smart coordinate updates.

2. Multi-Cell Range Selection & Coordinate Box

Selecting multiple cells with mouse drag or Shift + Arrow keys highlights contiguous ranges in real time with custom accent borders. The formula coordinate box dynamically displays your active selection (e.g. A1:C10), allowing you to write multi-cell array inputs and range formulas effortlessly.

3. Real-Time Curriculum Sidebar Search

No more scrolling through long lists to find your next exercise. We added a responsive live search bar at the top of the left curriculum sidebars for both Challenge and Exercise pages. Start typing any keyword or formula name, and the list filters instantly while keeping the curriculum hierarchy intact.

4. Balanced 50/50 Split Viewport Layout

When you hide the left sidebar curriculum to focus on your work, the main screen divides exactly in half (50% scenario instructions on the left, 50% spreadsheet arena on the right). We eliminated redundant outer margins and excessive drop shadows, ensuring the spreadsheet utilizes every available pixel of screen space.

5. Guest-Friendly Multiplayer Battle Rooms (No Login Required)

We believe clashing with friends should be completely friction-free. Guest users can now immediately create custom battle rooms, choose challenge categories, and join active matches via 6-character room codes. No account creation or login is required to play!

6. Streamlined Challenge Headers & Next Navigation

We decluttered the challenge header bar by removing unnecessary category noise and added a high-contrast Next Challenge navigation button on the top right. Once you solve the current problem, click next to jump straight to the next challenge without returning to the index menu.
